Since 2019, the most important marketing, communications, and research associations in Peru have been working together to develop and add value to the industry by reinforcing its role as a driver of change and economic growth for our country, offering a space to jointly address common goals and create well-being for society.

Participating associations are:

  • AAM: Asociación de Agencias de Medios (media agencies)

  • ANDA: Asociación Nacional de Anunciantes (advertisers)

  • APAP: Asociación Peruana de Agencias de Publicidad (advertising agencies)

  • APEIM: Asociación Peruana de Empresas de Inteligencia de Mercados (research enterprises)

  • APCPP: Asociación de Productoras de Cine Publicitario de Perú (filming and production enterprises)

  • IAB: Interactive Advertising Bureau (digital industry)

  • SPM: Sociedad Peruana de Marketing (marketing professionals and enterprises)

As a group, we aim to:

  • Promote joint effort: supporting the achievement of individual and common goals by fostering collaboration and integration.

  • Disseminate knowledge: sharing knowledge and relevant information with the participating associations and the industry in general.

  • Ensure ethical work: based on integrity, transparency, good practices, and consumer protection.

  • Develop talent: providing training and knowledge to all the associations’ collaborators, especially the new generations of industry professionals.

  • Defend the industry: ensuring a fair legal framework working with regulatory entities.

Inspired by the “Creativity Economy”, to focus on wealth generation through the creative industries, our first task is to is to measure the impact of the marketing, communications and research industry on the economy and the society. We will carry out a study that allows us to quantify how the industry impacts the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and job creation.

As a first step we sought strategic partners from academia and business consultancy firms or specialists who have conducted this type of study in other Latam countries. We have also spoken with peer associations in Chile and Mexico, which have developed important progress in this regard.

We believe this study will help us participate in policy decisions involving our industry. It will also help us to publicise its importance and impact on our country's GDP and our contribution as job creators.

We are confident that this first step will provide the necessary push to continue working together for an industry that generates added value and contributes to the country's development.
