The fourth annual Insight250 awards will be revealed on September 30th by co-chairs Kristin Luck and Mark Langsfeld, CEO Crispin Beale, and ESOMAR’s Director General Joaquim Bretcha via webcast. Insight250 features leaders, innovators, visionaries, and pioneers focused on elevating and enhancing market research, enterprise intelligence, and data-driven marketing. This list spotlights 250 of the world’s premier innovators of insights across academic, enterprise, agency, technology, consulting, and media realms. The complete 2024 Insight250 list will be available at Insight250.com (previous winners and all the judges are current shown along with articles from many of the past winners).
Kristin Luck, Co-chair of the Insight250 judging panel, explained, “Insight250 has been fantastic in recognizing and celebrating the research and insight professionals elevating research technology, methods, and innovation. Seeing so many new experts on the list this year is terrific.”
The 2024 Insight250 features innovators and leaders from 56 nations spanning six continents. Chile, Denmark, Finland, Greece, Jordan, Kuwait, Sri Lanka, and Thailand are new additions with Insight250 Winners from the 2023 list.
About 66 percent of the 2024 Insight250 are first-time winners with 34 percent serving as multiple-time recipients. The Winners are from a spectrum of organizations. The two companies with the most Insight250 Winners this year are longtime beverage rivals Coca-Cola and PepsiCo, each with five honorees globally illustrating their elite insight prowess. These innovative brands are closely followed by Google, Mars, Unilever, Reckitt, Clorox and Haleon with the most recipients this year.
On the agency side, Kantar’s four Winners edged out Ipsos with three. Other notable agencies are Behaviorally, Human8, and Zappi. Leading associations including ESOMAR, Market Research Society, European Research Federation, and Market Researchers Association are also well-represented. There are also premier universities represented, including Old Dominion University, Strathclyde University, University of Cape Town, and University of Pennsylvania, to name a few.
As Mark Langsfeld, Co-chair of the Insight250 judging panel and CEO of mTab, explained, "The Insight250 focuses on celebrating exceptional individuals who are elevating the insights and research industries globally. Many incredible professionals are making significant contributions to how we gather data, analyze insights, and understand today’s complex world. Narrowing this down to a list of 250 is always incredibly challenging, but ESOMAR provides tremendous support in achieving this."
The first three Insight250 lists received tremendous industry acclaim, with tens of millions of impressions during the launch weeks alone. Founded by mTab, a pioneering leader in market research reporting technology since 1987, ESOMAR, the global voice of the data, research, and insight community since 1947, partnered after the inaugural list to make the Insight250 the international standard and ensure the awards are diverse, representative, robust and transparent.
The Insight250 selection process is incredibly detailed, with ESOMAR’s country representatives overseeing the process to select nominees from their respective nations. The addition of the Insight250 Legends award last year opened up many opportunities to add new Winners this year. The selection process includes the regional judges, who are insight, research, and marketing professionals, many of whom are previous Insight250 Winners. Winners are selected based on a spectrum of dimensions including professional experience, academic accomplishments, publication contributions, industry involvement, thought leadership, insight innovations, and sector accolades.”
ESOMAR Director General Joaquim Bretcha added, “ESOMAR has been a champion of industry leadership and innovation for decades. The Insight250 remains a fantastic way to celebrate the achievements and innovations of so many premier research and insights leaders around the globe. We’re excited to be an integral part of this important initiative highlighting our industry.”
